Meat and Eggs
Our daughter Jeannette raises on the farm pastured Heritage Pork, Turkey and Chickens the old fashioned way. Pastured animals are raised on ample field land eating grasses, roots, seeds and bugs from the land, what they naturally ate before becoming domesticated. Our animals are fed on soy meal, corn and other grains for diet supplement. No antibiotics, no animal byproducts and no hormones are included in their diet.
Jeannette raises Heritage animals which were bred to withstand the weather, eat what the pasture supplies and still gain weight. This type animal takes longer to mature and in the case of pigs and turkeys they are much smaller when matured.
She raises pork, chicken, chicken eggs and turkey eggs for our two farm
families tables and freezers. A few extra animals are raised with our own, which
are sold as individual cuts at local farmers markets and at the farm by
appointment. Call 603-740-4922 and ask for Jeannette
Commercial raised animals for meat are not allowed to move around freely. large quantities of commercially mixed grains which include many additives are given to them. The animals gain weight fast and do not have the excellent flavor as the heritage breeds.
