We specialize in quality field grown and greenhouse cut flowers for the local farmers markets and for our farm subscription program. We grow a variety of annuals, perennials and biennials for cut flowers which are grown on 3 1/2 acres located at our Madbury farm. Our greenhouse grown Oriental Lilies are cut daily for the full season, June through October. In the spring we grow herbs, flowers and vegetable transplants for our customers gardens. Our daughter and grandsons also grow vegetables, melons, gourds and pumpkins which are sold at our farm stand. Our daughter Jeannette, raises free range animals for meat. Riverview Farm is an sustainable farm. We make improvements every year to meet our goal to use less, reuse and recycle more. We are also an IPM farm, which means we scout for insects regularly. If there is a problem, only that area is sprayed. We do not schedule regular insect spraying on our farm. We only spray when needed. In late November, we open our cut-your own Christmas tree plantation. All plants and cut flowers are grown locally, on our Riverview Farm, every year.
We are members of the National Association of Specialty Cut Flowers Growers and one of 27 cut flower seed trial participants in the US and Canada that grow annuals for National Trials, also we are one of eight that participate in the national perennial trial plants for cuts. We also are members of the Seacoast Growers Association .
